Giving it a Try!

As I begin this semester, I am feeling a little overwhelmed. This class specifically scares me a little bit because I know that I am not great at technology and editing. I have always wanted to learn – because it interests me – but I feel like I am going to need to pay extra close attention and come in for a lot of extra hours. Either way, I am willing to put in the work, I am just feeling a little nervous for what is to come. I think that the most interesting aspects of the course to me at this point would be learning how to edit videos, and how to Photoshop pictures. I feel like that kind of thing really puts you ahead in terms of your resume and getting a job after graduating, which is something I need to start worrying about. I definitely think some challenges I will encounter this semester would be learning how to be a better time manager, and working on asking questions – since I rarely ever do, even if I need help. As I said before, I am not great at anything involving technology, so I know for a fact I will need to ask questions before falling behind. I think this course can really relate to any career because employers are truly looking for these skills in this generation. I think specifically for me, since I only have a few ideas of what I want to do upon graduation and no solid plans, maybe I can find out if I am really interested in producing or doing artistic things like editing and Photoshop. Maybe with this class I can find my niche. I am really excited for this semester because, from what I can tell it is going to be informative in more ways than one, which is always something to look forward to.
